What’s so special about MTG: Lorwyn, you might ask. Well I can tell you it’s the only site of its kind ever made. We have five different “colored” planes, and each plane, contains five different races, totaling twenty five different playable races for members to choose from. Not only that, each race has specific abilities, and when they “level up” members can gain up to eleven new spells or abilities. Even more, each race has troops unique to only them.
That is just the character aspect of this game. Normal rpg’s use a system of gold to buy troops. Not us, we are using a “mana” system so it is more like the game we are basing the site off of, Magic The Gathering. Each day, a place called the “Mana Refinery” will give each member one colorless mana. Members can gain up to five colorless mana orbs each week in the beginning, and once the game progresses and they “build up their city” the Refinery will begin producing more mana orbs. Mana is used to buy troops, use portals, and activate special abilities that some races have, such as regenerate. Be sure to use up your mana before Saturday night though, because your “mana pool” will empty!
What else? Oh yes, I can’t forget to tell you about the portals! On each plane there are five portals, four active, and one inactive. Three of the active portals are in cities, and the other two are somewhere on the plane. You will have to consult one of the five custom maps to be absolutely sure! Once you step through these portals, you will find yourself on the plane of Dominaria, and there you are able to choose the plane you want to enter. Dominaria is a plane where no races live and no one knows what’s beyond the circle of portals. We use a system of hidden boards so you will only be able to access Dominaria through the links we provide in the portal threads. But don’t forget, using the portals cost mana!
Now I’ll move on to the administration team. MTG: Lorwyn consists of five administrators that will act as moderators of all thread, as battle mods, and will be here to answer any questions you may have. The five of us are planeswalkers; we are demi-gods who cannot play as members play. We cannot lead a group of members, we cannot join a member; we are “loaners” per say, in search of different things. I, Liliana Vess, want wealth and power, where as Jace Beleran, is in search of knowledge. If a member gives us what we want, then we can aid them in battle. Do not get on a planeswalkers bad side, because if you do, then even though you “paid” them, they might turn on you at any moment. Planeswalkers may also give out tasks or quests. These tasks or quests will give you better rewards than if you do one from the leader of a city. Rewards can consist of stat increases, mana, special items, or even a new spell or ability. Since we don’t join anyone, and we have no alliances, you do not have to worry about biasm. Also you do not need to worry that the administration will go inactive out of boredom, because we are role-playing, just in a different way than normal.
MTG: Lorwyn is one of a kind, and with your continued loyalty and support, this site will thrive for time to come.
